San Francis in San Francisco.

One thousand years has passed but he looks just the same. He's back.

I was selling my drawings on the road when he came to me.

He was wearing just some worn out socks, a pair of shorts and a simple t shirt.

Usually people pass by in front of my display of drawings, most of them run so fast that they don't even notice me, some other are just scared to look at me, scared that I can try to sell them something.

But not him, he was looking at everything, every flower, every animal, every cloud in the sky. His way of looking was different: I can tell because I spend my day watching people. Daydreamers look around, but they usually don't really look, they are lost in their world. Instead he was very absorbed from what he was seeing, an humble bug or a majestic sunset.

He talked to me about colors and emotions. The spirituality of the blue, the color of the sky, and the happiness of the orange. The voice of God was speaking in him, like a radio in his head. He told me that all the color we see, from black to white are just a little part of the colors of the nature. He smiled to me and to the whole world: “I'm better now”. I didn't understand what he meant, for me he was so great already. But maybe even a saint has his process of growing.

With a mild gesture of the hand he said goodbye to me and he walked away. “I have a radio in my head that never stops to speak” he smiled to me.

I saw him on the distance speaking to a group of ducks, his hair were burning in the sunset light. He was beautiful but nobody noticed him. San Francis is back but people can't recognize him because they have been told that people like him has mental problems or is just a freak or an hippie. They saw already too many people like him, dressed poorly with shining eyes, but they think that they use drugs. For those people nowadays God don't speak to us anymore, now we have the TV.

Los Angeles: Venice beach

Once upon a time, here there were hippies selling fantasy on donation.
Now it's totally commercialized. Everybody with a stand, everything with a price.
When you sell on donation people does't understand, they are scared because they don't understand!!! funny world!

[on the back ground the man has a panel with written "MONEY FOR ACID"
and he screams: "I promise you i'm going to use all the money you give me in it!"]

GONE

One man takes a comic. I tell him that it's on donation, so for him free if he doesn't want to give me anything. I explain him that the look of the comic is hard, but behind there is a good message. the man look through the pages and runs away scared: "Better not having it".
Even if the comic are free people is scared of taking them, they don't believe in it, and they imagine a trick behind!
Sad world! Best things in the world, I believe, are free... but now the value of something is given by the money you have to pay for it!!!

San Francisco: exposing with Miro and Chagal

In SF i had the great privilege to expose next to Miro' and Chagall. I was lucky, I sold few comics and one piece while Miro and Chagall nothing!!!!

embodied mind, enworlded body: everything in everything

in my iris there is a chart of my body.
the same for my foot and my hand and my ear.
in the brain the body is mapped many time: there is a motor-sensory map and many other.

if in my big toe there is a map of my brain, and the brain has a map of the body, on my big toe there will be another full map of the body! and following the same we can go further into the smaller and smaller world.

and what about the world i live?
is the kitchen a map of my stomach?
is my working desk a map of my confused mind?
is the place where i live a picture of myself?

and going bigger and bigger, am i a picture of this world i live?

frames [of mind]

our mind chooses how to frame our life.
at the end there is always a bigger frame that contains the whole picture.
no need to understand it, no need to see it.
maybe...

anarchy - karma and whatever

everything started with my project about giving things away on donation. no prices. the price is up to the customer. the furniture of my house in Australia, my comics on the street.
the results: very few dollars. but many insights
i discover that some people don't even know the word "donation". like in some sad scenario of 1984 of Orwell or alphaville of Godard: words are deleteted for the common speech. so the idea doesn't exist anymore.
so why donation?
first of all i like anarchy: no rules, freedom. but this implicates believing in human beings.
the problem that if you believe in human beings, you are a fool and you'll lose all your money.
people is not AWARE. not aware of themselves, not aware of the consequences their actions.
2000 years ago, a man called Jesus gave a rule, the golden rule, that sounds more or less like: "don't do to the others the things you don't want to be done to you".
but why being good?
because of the consequences of our actions.
if an industry exploits its workers, it can happen that its workers will be unhappy, and they will do some criminal actions, stealing, or violence etc.
this costs (social costs) fall on the society and not on the industry money.
in economics they call this theory of cost externalizing
in india, the law of karma.
simply can be said there should be two winners always and no looser.
the awareness we need to develop is that we are completely entangled with other people actions, and the whole world in general.
if i go to the restaurant i hope the cook had a good fuck the night before so he's happy and makes me a good meal. so to eat well i need that the cooker wife is happy and willing to make sex with the husband. but maybe the day before i took the last packet of the wife favourite cookies at the supermarket and i made the wife unhappy. so if i ate bad maybe it's my fault...

morning zombies: self portrait with head

switch off your brain (not difficult for zombies!), take the car, join the queue, take the metro, and go to office, 8 hours in front of a computer, take the metro, then the car, join the queue, and go back home to watch TV.
